Breakin' Free North is one side of a duplex (two sides). It can be rented as one side, or as a "whole". To rent both sides of the property, visit the property page called Breakin' Free N&S. Please note, because this property is a duplex some amenities will be shared between both sides of the property.
Breakin' Free North is a luxury oceanfront duplex in Carolina Beach, NC, offering a perfect getaway for up to 10 guests. This custom-built, pet-friendly vacation home boasts breathtaking ocean views and is designed with convenience in mind, featuring an elevator with access to all floors. The property includes private beach access, three oceanfront decks, and three street-side balconies, providing plenty of outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy the scenery. A fenced-in backyard, covered outdoor shower, and parking for 3-4 cars add to the comfort and ease of your stay.
The spacious middle floor is home to a fully stocked kitchen, perfect for preparing meals with its 6-burner gas stove, large dining table for 10, and modern appliances. The open living area features comfortable seating, a flat-screen TV with cable, and access to a private oceanfront deck, where you can enjoy meals or simply soak in the ocean breeze. For additional entertainment, head to the top-floor common area, complete with a wet bar, mini-fridge, and access to another oceanfront deck, ideal for sunset cocktails.
Breakin' Free North offers four well-appointed bedrooms, including two king bedrooms—one in the top-floor bedroom and the other in the oceanfront master suite on the bottom floor, complete with a private deck and luxurious ensuite bath. A queen bedroom on the bottom floor and a full bedroom on the middle floor provide additional accommodations, each with its own private or shared bathroom. With its prime location, upscale amenities, and pet-friendly policy, Breakin' Free North is the perfect destination for a relaxing and memorable beach vacation. For larger groups, consider renting both sides of the duplex as Breakin' Free N&S.

Families can stroll along the lively Carolina Beach Boardwalk with its rides, games, and local shops, or explore nature at Carolina Beach State Park, home to hiking trails and rare Venus flytraps. Nearby, the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher offers interactive exhibits that kids will love, while Freeman Park provides beach access for fishing, swimming, and camping. "Our stay at CBR’s property was amazing! My elderly grandmother is not able to walk up steps so having the elevator was exactly what we needed and once we figured out how to work it, things went smoothly! The location is great, it is right on the beach and there are 3 balconies facing the ocean, one including the hot tub! The house was very clean considering it being pet friendly and we had everything we needed. I cannot rave enough about the host, they were extremely responsive and helpful the couple of times I had to contact them. We loved it, our favorite Airbnb so far and we hope to make this stay annual!"

Great location/ accessible to 3 generations. - Loved everything about the house except cup of cigarette butts lefts on one of the balconies- which we left as it was disgusting and remnants of the last guest's dog in the yard- we didn't bring our pets. "Perfect! - All 7 of us enjoyed our stay! It was clean, a perfect location, big enough for all of us to hang out together but also big enough for all of us to spend some time apart as needed. Only note I would make is to bring your own paper products such as toilet paper. Didn't realize we'd have one roll for 4 bathrooms. This fact did not take anything away from our wonderful stay."

"upscale place - nice beach - Was good...quality place to stay...beds comfortable...kitchen well equipped....clean place and functional...storm doors on beach side wer tricky to lock but are secure and clean - not damaged like most beach homes....tv's in every room I think..views of beach and side windows add to light and views...so better than a condo...elevator a lifesaver for getting luggage up and down...... Nice balconies and great beach.....and allows dogs on leash...hot tub with a view of the beach...can't beat that..only issue was cold weather in March but can't blame anyone but mother nature..."

"Overall a great home!!! - We stayed here in May of 2014, and overall it was a great rental. All new appliances and a great kitchen/eating area for 10 people. There were a few minor details that needed to be fixed but nothing out of the ordinary for a rental. The two that did stand out was the locks on the front door...very difficult as not a standard dead bolt, plus that is the only door to the beach access....so don't lose the key in the sand the other issue was the vacuum did not work and there was no broom ( tough to keep the floor sand free). We would stay here again as it was perfect for two families with younger and teenage kids.
