Families can enjoy a stroll or fishing at the historic Kure Beach Pier, one of the oldest on the East Coast, or explore local history at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, where kids can roam the remains of a Civil War fort. Nearby, the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher offers hands-on exhibits and fascinating marine life. Outdoor enthusiasts will love Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, with its beach access, fishing, and scenic trails. The Ocean Front Park & Pavilion is another great spot for families, featuring a playground, picnic areas, and regular outdoor events. Even pets can join in on the fun at the Kure Beach Dog Park. With its relaxing atmosphere and variety of activities, Kure Beach is a great spot for a family getaway.
"Beautiful view, enjoyed our stay - The house perfectly suited our needs space-wise, the view was amazing, the beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. The spacious great room suited our needs. The EV charger in the garage was a huge advantage.However, we were surprised at the lack of hand soap in the bathrooms, dishwashing liquid etc. in the kitchen for dishes that did not fit in the dishwasher, and only minimal paper products (toilet paper, paper towels), especially for a house that sleeps 12 people. We felt we could not safely use some of the Teflon coated cookware as some of the pots were badly burned or was peeling. This is a definite health hazard.Finally, we were very surprised to find the elevator was out of order. The elevator was advertised on the listing in November when we booked the house but apparently had gone out of order before we arrived. This was a big factor in our renting this house. No one advised us of this issue before our arrival. We came for a quilting retreat and had to carry sewing machines, boxes with quilting projects, ironing boards, etc. up two flights of stairs. This was quite difficult for some of our members (ages 60-70).Overall, we had a wonderful time and would consider renting this property again, as we meet once a year for this retreat."

"Lovely, comfortable, spacious home right on the beach! We rented this property for our annual ladies’ weekend away and it did not disappoint. The open kitchen+living area (with ocean views!) was ideal for a large group - we had ten adults staying together and felt like we had plenty of room to spread out. The large kitchen table in particular was a highlight when gathering for meals. Beds were comfortable, water pressure was strong, and kitchen was well stocked. Minor complaints: shortage of kitchen towels provided; the sink hardware was a bit wonky; no corkscrew in the kitchen; and we were disappointed that both the wine fridge and ice/water dispenser were inoperable. Driveway is quite small and only fit two cars (which we knew in advance from the listing). The garage looks to be quite roomy and having access to that would allow more vehicles to fit comfortably, as well as make the route to the beach access shorter and more convenient. Overall, highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again!"

"Excellent place. My family really enjoyed the place right off the beach. Host/vacation company was fairly responsive, however, slower than we would’ve liked (potentially because our date of arrival was on a weekend). The initial confirmation email showed an address that had the title “North” instead of “South” which caused us to search for the property for about 20 minutes when we arrived. Other than that we would highly recommend this listing and we’ll hopefully stay again! :)"

"Beautiful Kure Beach stay - We rented this property for a stay-cation/celebrating our Dad's 60th/Spring break. It was perfect!!!! We had children with us, and I have to say, it being on only 1 floor was a lifesaver. Not having to worry about stairs inside is a plus! Of course we had to use stairs to get to the top, but they aren't too steep. The weather was beautiful and the place had everything you needed to start! I would say it would be nice to have had toilet paper/paper towels extra, but it was noted in the notes/details. Overall, would recommend as well as stay there again!"

"Home away from home! - This is the second summer we have spent a week in this house and it was just as great as the first time. The house is beautiful and has an incredible open floor plan and a huge deck that we spent a lot of time on. We had 10 adults staying in the house and there was plenty of beds and seating and so much room to move around. We never felt cramped at all. It was so nice to be able to all sit together at the dining room table and eat dinner together. We will definitely be back for our annual trip next year!"

"Amazing property - This house is laid out so perfectly. There is plenty of space, beds nd seating for a large family/friends gathering. Ocean views from practically everywhere in the house! The exceptionally stocked kitchen was great to cook in while having those amazing views. The large back deck was perfect for those days I just didn't feel like sitting directly on the beach. I hope to only stay in the house from now on. It was amost perfect! My only complaint was there wasn't enough hot water so we had to really space out showers. Thank for a great week...we will be back!"
