This spacious duplex offers complimentary Wi-Fi, central heating and air conditioning, a washer and dryer, an outdoor shower, and entertainment options like board games and books. The fully equipped kitchen on the second floor features a dining table for six, a kitchen bar with additional seating for 6, and essential appliances, including a Keurig and drip coffeemaker, blender, and toaster. The adjoining living room boasts a flat-screen TV with cable, a DVD/VHS player, a ceiling fan, and access to a large private balcony. Parking is available for 3-4 vehicles, but guests should avoid over-occupying the driveway to prevent towing.
With six well-appointed bedrooms, this home comfortably accommodates large groups. The third-floor master suite includes a king-sized bed, a private balcony, and a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and glass-door shower. Kure Beach is a perfect destination for family-friendly fun, offering a variety of activities and attractions. Guests of Carolina Blue can walk to multiple beach access points along the boardwalk near the historic Kure Beach Pier, one of the oldest on the East Coast. The pier offers a great spot for strolling and fishing for the entire family, along with ice cream, gifts and souvenirs.
Families can also walk to nearby restaurants including the Ocean View Diner, the famous Freddie’s Italian Restaurant, Jack Mackerels Island Grill, and Big Daddy’s Seafood, along with Beach House Burgers, Happy Hippies Java Jut, and the Islander Kwik Mart (ice cream).
The Ocean Front Park & Pavilion is located by the pier and offers another great spot for families, featuring a playground, picnic areas, and regular outdoor events including concerts and church services.
Guests can explore local history at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum, where kids can roam the remains of a Civil War fort. We have always been an IOP/Charleston family (when we travel locally) but we have just found another local (to NC) vacation spot. We love Kure and the beach house was within walking distance to everything: Kure Beach First Baptist, the pier, Freddie’s, Jack Mackerals, Big Daddy’s, the little hamburger joint, etc. We love the low key slower pace.- Posted: 7/4/2024

We loved the house very close to restaurants and close to the pier, not a bad walk to the beach. We loved the outside shower and the kitchen had everything we needed.the house was beautiful and decorated beautifully. The beds were very comfortable, the living room furniture was a little wore but Everything was very clean, the washer and dryer maybe just need to be cleaned out took a long time to dry.if you have bad knees there are lots of stairs there are 2 bedrooms and bathroom on bottom level no stairs which worked good for us.- Posted: 6/18/2023

We loved our stay at Carolina Blue. It had been a few years since we visited Kure Beach and we loved being within walking distance of the pier. We don't visit the beach because of going on the 4WD beach instead. The house had all the necessary kitchen items and even some cleaning supplies to use. We thought we would grill out and was told there was no grill but there was one onsite but we didn't need to use (and wasn't sure if it was for our use). There was plenty of space to store our beach stuff below and in the outdoor shower. The balconies were nice to watch folks go by. There was plenty of space for us and loved having bathroom access for each bedroom. Different shower heads with spray nozzles would be an added bonus rinsing and cleaning the showers. Trash pickup twice a week would be extra helpful as there was trash already in the bins when we got there and we left some full too. The close proximity to the park was a bonus for our teens to make use of. The realty company communicated well with us via text and was quick to answer any questions I emailed. Great house.
The house was very roomy and the kitchen was well stocked. We loved the location. It was very clean and worked well for my family. I would suggest it needs some new mattress. The Current ones are very worn and uncomfortable. Also more TVs in bedrooms. It’s nice to have a tv in each bedroom. Other than that the house is great. I give it a five star.- Posted: 10/30/2022

Best location so far for us
The rental process was easy. We enjoyed the property very much, however I have only one recommendation and that is to have the trash pickup twice/week as cans were full when we arrived on Sunday, trash pickup was Tues and cans were full for the next family when we left. We had an excellent experience. Property was 100% as advertised. Everything worked, and was in good+ to very good condition. House had more useful equipment and utensils in the kitchen than I have ever seen in a rental.
